Wallace Dutra é ator-mímico, sonoplasta e dramaturgo  (DRT 0060652/SP)

Artista com pesquisa em solo performance, através da mímica/teatro físico e butoh.

É formado em Dramaturgia e Coreografia/Dança (pela Escola Livre de Teatro, e pela Fundação das Artes de São Caetano – FASCS).

Estuda Teatro Essencial com Denise Stoklos desde 2016, além de Mímica Total e Teatro Físico com Luis Louis desde 2020.

Em Butoh, participou de oficinas presenciais ministradas por Tadashi Endo, e por Yael Karavan, além de oficinas online com artistas como Vangeline e Atsushi Takenouchi.

Participou de cursos no LUME Teatro, e d’A Arte Secreta do Ator, em Brasília, com Eugenio Barba e Julia Varley, do Odin Teatret.

Foi selecionado para o V Encuentro Internacional de Dramaturgia Emergente (Corredor Latinoamericano de Teatro, obra “5.5”, 2018). Escreveu “Cavalo-marinho” (pela FASCS); e “Meia-noite. Liberdade*” (pela ELT, em coletânea pelo selo Nyota, São Paulo), entre outras dramaturgias.

Participou do Festival Internacional Denise Stoklos de Solo Performance (solo “(seja realista) peça o impossível” – Irati, 2018; online, 2022), do Festival Super-Ação de Mímica Total (organizado por Luis Louis em 2020).

Integrou a equipe de Denise Stoklos em seus solos “Extinção” (como assistente), e “Abjeto-Sujeito” (como sonoplasta e operador de som), além de outras participações como assistente e sonoplasta em outras peças da artista.

Foi integrante d’a companhia no F ! M, entre 2022 a 2024, e integrou o elenco de “O Escritor na Ruína das Palavras” em 2023 e 2024, em espaços das cidades de São Paulo e Caieiras.

Atualmente é ator-criador da trilogia “Como contar os impulsos”, com seu solo “PSI”, estreado em junho de 2023 em Irati (PR), e em Brasília em dezembro de 2023 (em parceria com o artista brasiliense Luca Lima, graduando de Artes Cênicas da UnB).

Está em processo de mais dois solos da trilogia: “Um corpo depois das seis”, sob provocação do artista-criador Danilo dal Farra, com abertura de processo em dois festivais, em Santo André (SP), Ribeirão Pires (SP), e Caxias do Sul (RS); e “Nijin.sky”.

Wallace Dutra is a professional mime actor, sound designer, and playwright, specializing in solo performance research through mime/physical theater and Butoh.

He holds degrees in Dramaturgy and Dance, and has studied with some of Brazil’s most renowned artists: Essential Theater with Denise Stoklos and Total Mime and Physical Theater with Luis Louis.

In Butoh, he has participated in person workshops led by Tadashi Endo and Yael Karavan, as well as online workshops with including Vangeline and Atsushi Takenouchi.

He has taken courses at LUME Teatro (a 40-year-old artists’ collective supported by the Universidade de Campinas), and participated in a five-day immersion with Eugenio Barba and Julia Varley (Odin Teatret/Barba-Varley Foundation).

Selected for the V Encuentro Internacional de Dramaturgia Emergente (Corredor Latinoamericano de Teatro) with his play 5.5 (2018). He is also the author of Cavalo-marinho [Seahorse] and Meia-noite. Liberdade [Midnight. Freedom].

Performed at the International Denise Stoklos Solo Performance Festival with his solo (seja realista) peça o impossível [(be realistic) demand the impossible] (Irati, 2018; online, 2022), the Super-Ação Total Mime Festival (online, 2020).

Collaborated with Denise Stoklos on her solo works Extinção [Extinction] (as an assistant) and Abjeto-Sujeito – Clarice Lispector por Denise Stoklos [Abject-Subject – Clarice Lispector by Denise Stoklos] (as a sound designer and operator), as well as in other roles in her productions.

From 2022 to 2024, he was a member of the independent group Companhia no F!M, acting in O Escritor na Ruína das Palavras [The Writer in the Ruins of Words].

He is currently developing the trilogy Como contar os impulsos (How to Count the Impulses), featuring his solo PSI, which premiered in June 2023 in Irati (Denise Stoklos’ hometown) and in Brasília in December 2023, in collaboration with Brasília-based artist Luca Lima, a theater student at Universidade de Brasília.

He is also working on two additional solos for the trilogy:

Um corpo depois das seis (A Body After Six), under the mentorship of the physical artist Danilo dal Farra, with work-in-progress showings at festivals in the southern and southeastern regions of Brazil.
